Training and Event Preparation

If you've just signed up for a touring event, or are considering it, you might want some help preparing.  Here are some resources for preparation for long distance and/or multi-day tours.

Meetup Groups or Other Sports Groups:

Meetup groups are an excellent way to get inspired and supported while doing training activities in your local area.  There are several hiking, biking, and kayaking groups in most areas.  Join a local group to get started or keep up on your training!   www.meetup.com

For hiking training events, see your local Meetup.com site as there are typically many different hiking groups in most areas.  

The groups linked below can be a great resource for local cycling training events in the DC and RDU areas during the tour preparation process.  These groups hold local events to help you practice and train for the big event!
